What principals say
In their own words.
Principals using Patoo share their experience here. Each one is written by the principal and approved before it appears.
Privacy & safety
Student records stay private.
Patoo is designed around Jamaica's Data Protection Act 2020. Your school controls its own records, and nobody joins without an invitation.
- Schools kept apart
Records of one school never mix with another's.
- Invite-only sign-in
Principals invite staff and parents. Leaders also enter a code from an app on their phone.
- Nightly backups
An encrypted copy is kept off‑site.
- Parent requests
A parent can ask to see their child's records.

Questions
Things principals ask.
Do our teachers need training?
If they can use WhatsApp, they can use Patoo. We help you set up and there's a short guide for every role.
Can we bring our students in from our current system or Excel?
Yes. Upload a spreadsheet of forms, staff, students and parents, check it, then import. Past marks and old report cards are not imported yet.
Does it work on phones and with weak internet?
Yes. Every page works on a phone, and registers can be taken offline and saved when the signal comes back.
Who can see our students' information?
Only the people your school invites, and only what their role allows. Parents see only their own children.
What does it cost?
Founding schools (first 10): half price for the first year, and free setup. After that, schools pay a yearly amount per student. Ask us for your school's price.
